The period between competitions is just as important as the events themselves. This is when the team maintains the horse’s condition, reviews the previous performance and prepares for the next goals.
Work should be varied: flexibility exercises, light conditioning, walks, recovery days and regular observation of the horse’s general state.
Recovery as part of the plan
A horse cannot work at maximum intensity all the time. Quality rest helps prevent fatigue and keeps motivation high.
When the training process is planned wisely, the horse arrives at the next competition healthier, more focused and ready to cooperate.
